  Expenditure and Revenue reporting options:

  • Governmental Entities -- descibes the types of governments for which data are available.
  • Funds -- describes the fund groups that revenue sources are categorized into and that govenmental services are paid from.
  • Operating and Capital Expenditure Data -- describes the nature of general operating expenditures compared to capital expenditures.


Governmental "ENTITY" Selections:

  • State & Local -- includes the State, County, City, Transit, Port, and School District data:
    • Local -- includes County, City, Transit, Port, and School District data:
      • County -- includes only data for counties; it does not include data for other governmental entities operating within the county
      • City -- includes only data for cities; it does not include data for other governmental entities operating within the city
      • Transits -- includes only data for transit districts; it does not include data for transit activities performed by counties, cities, or the state
      • Ports -- includes only data for port districts; it does not include data for port activities performed by counties, cities, or the state
      • School Districts -- includes only data for school districts
    • State -- includes data for state government agencies, boards and commissions in the state of Washington; it does not include data for any other governmental entities.
    • State Unadjusted -- displays State data prior to revenue "pass-through" adjustments and application of other business rules that eliminate double-counting that occurs when combining data across agencies and types of government.

      "FUNDS" Selections:

      • All -- includes data for all fund types combined
      • Governmental -- includes data for fund types: General, Special Revenue, Debt Service, and Capital Projects. It does not include Enterprise Funds.
      • individual fund groups -- includes data for the selected fund type only: General, Special Revenue, Debt Service, Capital Projects, or Enterprise Funds.

      "OP/CAP" Selections:

      • Total -- includes data for Operating and Capital expenditures combined
      • Operating -- includes data for operating expenditures only (such as human resources, administration, and general governmental services)
      • Capital -- includes data for capital expenditures only (such as roads, bridges, and buildings)
